Yes this is what happens when Lou goes crazy and decides he wants to jump on and play with the cat. As you can image Tiger-lily who is ten does not appreciate this behaviour, and hisses and swipes at him. This sends Lucifer into a crazy barking maniac, and he is put outside.
Usually there is some barking and hissing exchanged through the glass, but after a minute or two Lou goes into sulking mode. He will sitting staring at the cat with his bring brown eyes pleading to get let back in.
The funny thing is the cat is the only one of us he’ll listen to. She is his favourite. Tiger still remembers our old quiet beagle who was her best friend, so hasn’t fully adjusted to a crazy young beagle. She loves Lou even when he goes crazy, she just doesn’t trust him yet. And who could blame her.
When my sister and I saw this coat we thought , yes it was perfect for Lou. It reads “Been there Chewed that”. Aahh so appropriate for our loveable monster.
This is Lou’s first coat. As it is winter and he had been snuggling up to us trying to get warm we thought, its worth a try seeing if he would wear a coat.
To start with he seemed to enjoy it, but I think it was because he was distracted trying to get my mums food. About 15mins into wearing it, he took himself into the lounge room where he tried to wrestle his way out. He was rolling around, biting and chewing at it. Doing anything to pull it off so he could chew it to pieces.
So now the coat is put away till he is a little older and we are getting lots of cuddles and of course kisses.
So would you like a new way to sit on your leather couch then Lou will show you how.
First don’t sit the boring old way, with your bum on the seat. No avoid that all together and climb onto the top of the seat back.
That’s perfect. Now spread your legs on either side of the seat back and lie on your stomach.
Now you are in the perfect position to bark at anything outside the window, or just chew away at those wooden blinds.
To start with he’s fine. We don’t know how he is fine, but he is. When being walked yesterday, Lou pulled the lead out of my dad’s hand. He was in a park but bolted towards an incredibly busy road, and was hit by a car. The wheels missed him but he rolled under the car with a terrifying skreech. He then got up, ran into more on coming traffic, thankfully no one was injured and he wasn’t hit again, then ran down the street. One man tried to help but couldn’t keep up, he was running so fast and they lost sight of him.
He was found by a lovely man in a bait shop, that managed to catch him. He couldn’t believe that he was so strong and had no idea he’d just been hit. So we are so grateful he checked his collar and rang us.
So Lou has a tiny scratch on his leg and some bruising but is still his crazy, loveable self. The moral is, please if you see a runaway dog help him out and look to see if he has a number is on his collar. Lou is also micro-chipped and all his collars have his name and number on them, as he is crazy and tries to runaway often.
So for the dogs like Lou, who can’t help themselves and run away, please help them out by helping them find there way home. We are incredibly lucky that Lou is the Super-dog – he always acts like he is.
